John E. True

John E. True comes to Mid-Atlantic Surety with over twenty years of contract surety and insurance experience. John holds the designations of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Prior to joining Mid-Atlantic Surety, he was an owner of True & Associates, Westfield NJ.

John is an active member of the American Subcontractors Association of NJ (ASA) (2001 past President), Associated Builders and Contractors of NJ (ABC), Building Contractors Association (BCA), Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), Drywall and Interior Systems Contractors Association (DISCA), and the Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA). He has made numerous presentations on insurance and surety topics, as well as being a special presenter at the 2002 and 2003 CFMA Symposiums.

He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Subcontractors Association of NJ, Associated Builders and Contractors of NJ and the Construction Financial Management Association of NJ. He chairs various Insurance and Surety Committees and in 1991 was recognized with the Associate Member of the Year award from the American Subcontractors Association.

In addition to serving on the Mid-Atlantic Surety Board of Directors, John is responsible for sales, marketing and placement of surety and insurance programs for the firm.
